Suppliers and Brands
Project Ten, Australia
Project Ten is created by an Aussie based in Geelong, Victoria.
"Project Ten was my tenth idea, the one that finally made sense. I wanted to create everyday things that strike a perfect balance between style and function. And Project Ten was it, great bags that actually brighten peoples day.
At Project Ten we have worked really hard on finding alternative solutions to single use plastics. We are proud that our bags main fabrication is RPET material. RPET fabric or Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate is a reusable and sustainable material. It contains either pre or post-consumer waste. We believe in doing our part and will always continue our journey."
Rolla Bottle, Australia
Founded by sisters Katy and Elizabeth in my home town of Melbourne, Australia - Rolla Bottle was launched with a mission to help rid the world of single-use plastic bottles and to be part of the plastic pollution clean-up solution.
"We get it that so many people buy into the madness of bottled water because it’s just so convenient: drink and toss, what could be simpler? Unfortunately, it doesn’t end there. Something you may consume in a few minutes will actually last a lifetime, and that’s just the start of it. Where it gets really crazy is that it actually takes three litres of water to make just one litre of bottled water.
That’s why we created Rolla Bottle, to give you the hydration you need in a reusable container with the convenience of a disposable bottle. When it’s empty you simply roll it small and it’s ready for your next refill. BOOM! You are hydrated and no bulky empty bottle to lug."
Rolla Bottle is not just about stemming the problem, they contribute to the solution too. As part of the Jellyfish 10 initiative, they commit 10% of all Rolla profits to the plastic-pollution clean-up solution via donation to various clean ocean campaigns and organisations working to remove plastic already in our oceans.
Single Use Multiverse, Australia
Sparked from a passion from reusing and up-cycling in a bid to keep single use plastics out of our waste systems and oceans, these earrings have to be seen to be believed! Jess is one super clever Aussie lady and is based in a beautiful part of the world in regional Victoria (close to where my cousin lives!).
Get ready for it - she makes them out of milk cartons, straws, plastic lids, shampoo bottles, formula lids, dish-washing liquid containers and more. 😱 Jess calls it "fashion and the ultimate green consumer combined". YES, YES AND YES.😍😍😍
SomerSide, Australia
This is a two year old Aussie brand that was founded by a TWENTY FIVE YEAR OLD. Yep - Gabby Samkova started this brand from a kickstarter which aimed for $20k and ended up raising $37k in 30 days. I'm not sure what you were doing at 25......but I WAS NOT launching a company. 😳 Supporting BOSS LADIES like this is what I am about!
After taking up surfing whilst living in Bali, Gabby quickly noticed how polluted the water was with plastic. It hit her - literally. SomerSide was created as a more sustainable product to keep plastic out of our oceans and forests.
It’s more than just a brand, it’s bringing together a community of individuals who embrace all that life has to offer.
More stylish, more sustainable and more versatile. More use from the one purchase - true sustainability!
